One city one book – ” If ever you go. A map of Dublin in poetry and song “. Meeting at 5pm on Tuesday 6th May

Dive into this wonderful collection of poetry and song and enjoy words from Swift, Yeats, Joyce, Beckett, Clarke, kavanagh, kinsella, Heaney, Boland, bolger, Meeney and many more. There is a very interesting programme of events to accompany your reading of this book. Have a look at http://www.onecityonebook.ie or pick up a leaflet here in the library.

For our meeting, choose a poem that you like or that means something to you , and bring your thoughts or comments to the group. If you just want to read a poem or sing a song, that’s ok too. See you then

God Siobhan you’re a scream……….you obviously have never heard me sing!! I’ll stick with the reading……..Loving the diversity of the selection. Derv

  2. As poetry appreciation is a personal thing, each one of us bringing very different favourites to the meeting, this was an enriching way to read “If you ever go”.
